Glee History
What's a TCG?An online Trading Card Games are similar to the trading cards you knew as a child. Rather than playing in person and collecting cards from packs at the store, you collect everything online. The goal is to collect all of the cards you like, also know as mastering a deck. Online TCGs are free to play, a lot of fun, and very addictive!
What's Glee?
Glee is a show on FOX about a glee club beating the odds, and going through many obstacles to show they've got what it takes. It was the first new show to be picked up for a full season in 2009 and the mini-hiatus will start after 09 December 2009. The show will return in April of 2010.
A Tradepost?
You will need a form of a site to be able to join Gleeks (or any other TCG really). It doesn't have to be on a domain, freewebs and LiveJournal are acceptable as well (as long as the LiveJournal TCG entries are viewable by everyone). You will need a link back to Gleeks, your current level displayed on a badge, your detailed trade log and your cards.
How Detailed Of A Trade Log?
It's very simple. For example, you'll need the date and what exactly you did on that day:
- December 1: Traded rachelberry14 for finnhudson07 with Kari
Played Glee Trivia: Got finnhudon02, kurthummel05
The wrong way to do it would be:
- December 1: Traded with Kari
Played games got 4 cards
Starter Packs?
Since the card count in the decks may vary, it'll be depend on what set you'd like to collect first:
- Episode Decks: You will receive 3 collecting deck cards
Character/Song Decks: You will receive 2 collecting deck cards
However, every starter pack will have the following:
- 4 random regular cards
1 random special card
1 random special puzzle card
1 random currency
Currency?
Is none other than Rachel Berry's metaphorical gold stars!
Leveling Up?
Each level is determined by card worth and not card count.
- Level One: 001-100
Level Two: 101-225
Level Three: 226-450
Level Four: 451-675
Level Five: 676-900
Level Six: 901-1025
Level Seven: 1026-1150
Level Eight: 1151-1375
Level Nine: 1376-1500
Level Ten: 1500+
Leveling up rewards are: 2 random cards, 1 choice card
Mastery?
Each deck will get you the following for completing it:
- 20 card deck: 2 regular choice cards, 3 random regular cards, 1 random special card
18 special dark deck: 1 choice special card, 3 random regular cards, 1random special card
15 card deck: 2 regular choice cards, 2 random regular cards
10 special card deck: 1 choice special card, 2 random regular cards
Donation Rewards & Staff Pay?
Donation rewards can also be found in the 'donations' section of the forums also:
- 1 set of level badges of 5: 1 regular choice card, 4 random regular cards
Limit: 2 sets per month
1 set of link buttons of 3: 3 random regular cards
Limit: 3 sets per month
I also am not currently set on playing at this moment, so I won't need any staff pay, however if I do decide (which might not be likely) I will let everyone know and we can work out a fair amount of pay :)
